Opening Event! - The 2020 edition of the festival, PAF @home, begins with conversations. Following opening remarks by Florian Bücking from the board of LAFT Berlin, Sarah Israel and Tessa Hartig, the co-directors of the Berlin Performing Arts Festival will provide an overview of the coming days of the festival. After this, we warmly invite everyone to join us in small discussion groups for a digital get-together. We’re looking forward to providing more information for everyone, to exchanges and to making plans for additional engagement on the following topics:
+ The schedule of programming and background information about the 2020 edition of the festival, PAF @home
With Florian Bücking (LAFT Berlin) and Anika Andreßen, Luisa Kaiser & Thomas Fabian Eder (Berlin Performing Arts Festival)
+ How to secure your livelihood as an artist (as well as for everyone else)
With Caroline Gutheil and Reto Kamberger (LAFT Berlin)
+ Funding structures for art and culture: taking stock and restarting
With Janina Benduski and Dagmar Domrös (LAFT Berlin)
+ The cultural landscape while it slumbers away like Sleeping Beauty – rehearsing and performing during the coronavirus pandemic?!
With Daniel Brunet (LAFT Berlin)
+ And what other important topics are there that have been left off this list?
With Chang Nai Wen and Tina Pfurr (LAFT Berlin)
Moderated by Sandra Klöss.
