The PAF of the Future - The Festival As Of 2024

We would like to talk about the future. New applications were submitted this year for the Berlin Performing Arts Festival as of the year 2024.  In addition, a survey was conducted and an advisory group made up of members of the independent performing arts community, artists, representatives of performance venues and production institutions and the current festival team was appointed, alongside a large number of evaluation discussions with partners and participants. Now we need your voices and opinions to further shape the new concept.

We are very pleased to invite all interested parties to join us and share their thoughts during the event series The PAF of the Future - The Festival As Of 2024.

We would like to present our current state of planning and ask what do the audience, the visiting industry professionals and the independent performing arts community want for the PAF as of 2024? What should stay the same, what will be changed? What does selection mean for visibility? Who would like to further engage with the festival, who needs a stronger representation at the PAF and what are the most pressing and urgent issues?

The events will be moderated by the initiative you are warmly invited and with whom the impulses, desires and questions can be elaborated and discussed. The current festival team and LAFT Berlin (Landesverband freien darstellende Künste) as the organizing association behind the festival are looking forward to a lively exchange!

The event takes place live on location and in German spoken language; there is the option of personal simultaneous interpretation into English. Free snacks and drinks will be available.
