INTER_SECTION

The transmedial duo INTER_SECTION – Sabine Ercklentz (trumpet, electronics) and Claudia Schmitz (moving image onto sculpture, electronics, unfolded screen) – develops space-related audiovisual real-time performances with invited international guests, incorporating gestural and intermedial transmissions. For INTER_SECTION #3.2 | Borrowed Gesture, they invite a non-human actor – "The Third" – to digitally network with. The contingent third manifests itself in three algorithm-controlled pneumatic sculptures made of recycled plastic. Through air flowing in and out by means of fans, the sculptures are awakened and become part of the projection space.
