Bodies… WHAT?

On the Trail of the Festival Theme “Bodies Under Tension”

This year, the schedule of programming of the Berlin Performing Arts Festival is presenting bodies as something human, political, chronological or abstract. They surround us and create tension; bodies are living forms that transform over time and space. These are characteristics that also apply to the independent performing arts in Berlin.

Everyone who is interested is warmly invited to take a closer look at the topic Bodies Under Tension and engage with it in the form of discussions and workshops. In doing so, the body will be considered in a variety of facets and aspects and researched in a performative way. You can look forward to the following thematic points of focus: Bodies and Spaces for Encounters (Bodies & City), Historical Memories (Bodies & Archive), Processes of Change (Bodies & Crisis), Intimacy (Bodies & Closeness), Care (Bodies & Care) as well as Belonging (Bodies & Identity).

The offers are free of charge, tickets for the performances must be purchased.
Some offers have a limited number of participants, information on this can be found in the event notes.
