Ahmed Soura

Ahmed Soura was born in Burkina Faso and is the artistic director of the traditional dance company KÔRO. In his solo Conrtevent, he examines what it means to move against the wind, to defy climate change and to surrender to other people. The duet with the wind is expressed in the poetry of the headwind. Soura toured through Europe in 2010 with Christoph Schlingensief’s production Via Intolleranza II. He was commuted between the continents ever since.
