Andrea Neumann

Andrea Neumann lives and works as a musician and composer in the fields of new and experimental music in Berlin. In addition to the performative contextualization of sound, her compositions deal with reflections on the use of media or the formation of meta-instruments through the connection of performer, instrument and space. As a composer-performer, Neumann has been and continues to be involved, both as a soloist and in various ensembles, in the development of Berlin's real-time music, which is situated between new music, improvisation, noise, and sound art. She is the co-founder and co-curator of Labor Sonor, artistic co-director of the Labor Sonor Festival, and co-editor of the book echtzeitmusik berlin. selbstbestimmung einer szene (2011).
