Mirjam Gurtner

Mirjam Gurtner studied dance at the Theater Basel, the Vienna State Opera, the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and Trinity Laban London. Her artistic practice explores improvisation, real-time composition and the correlation between sensory perception and physicality. In interdisciplinary collaborations, she explores the relationship between the audience and moving body in different spatial contexts, staging her work in theater, museum or public space. Mirjam is a teacher of improvisation and inclusive dance and leads international inclusive and intercultural dance projects. Her most recent work series PLAY premiered in 2021 at Theater ROXY Birsfelden and KINDL Museum for Contemporary Art Berlin.
