The production is part of the newcomer's platform Introducing... of the Berlin Performing Arts Festival 2023.

How can an archive be brought to life? Can it become a hole in time through which we can enter a new future? Salma Said and Miriam Coretta Schulte get to the bottom of these questions in a futuristic video world. Between video projections and car tires, the two playfully explore the subversive video archive 858 of the Egyptian revolution of 2011 as well as the potential of choreographic techniques for remembering. Accompanied by videos made by the artist Jasmina Metwaly and the sound of the musician Leila Moon, they travel through times and spaces with the audience. In addition, a local guest is invited each evening to present their own archive of memories.

Accessibility

A continuous, step-free and level access (incl. curb ramp) from the street to the building and to the event area with a width of at least 150 cm is available. The performance takes place in the hall, which is at ground level. Unfortunately, the bar can only be reached via stairs on the second floor. There are also barrier-free parking spaces and sanitary facilities available. However, the barrier-free parking spaces can only be found in the public space at the roadside. The theater cannot offer its own parking spaces. Space for wheelchairs or walkers is provided in the performance hall/area and there is the possibility of special suitable seat reservation and/or to enter the hall ahead of time. Advance reservations are requested at the time of ticket purchase.

The performance will include primarily English spoken language as well as individual sentences in German and Arabic spoken language.
