Berliner Compagnie

The Berliner Compagnie is the oldest independent theatre company in Berlin. Since 1981, it has toured Germany and other European countries as an alternative touring theatre. Ana Hauck, the actress who plays Rosa Luxemburg, comes from Georgia. She played there for ten years in the ensemble of the Tbilisi State Theatre. Helma Fries, actress and author, founded the Berliner Compagnie. Elke Schuster has worked in the Berlin company since 1985 – as director, actress, dramaturg and set designer. Camilla Cecile Körner, director, studied acting at the Alanus University and theatre pedagogy at the HdK Berlin.
