Tibo Gebert

Tibo Gebert is a director and puppeteer. He studied at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" Berlin and at the École Supérieure Nationale des Arts de la Marionnette Charleville-Mézières in France. Since 1996 he has been working as a freelance puppeteer in Germany and abroad. In his solo works he developed a very own aesthetic language. Parallel to his solo works, Tibo Gebert cooperates with various international directors. He has mastered the art of simplicity in stories and is an instinctive artist whose characters make do with sparse, precise and minimalist movements. The very special rhythm of the pieces helps to create an extraordinary connection with the audience.
